Backpackin' away!..

Helllooo there,

Well as I planned, not initially but yeah, since not too long ago.. I'm now on the road backpacking. It's only been like 4 days or so, but damn I've done sooo much already and yeah I'm pooped! And yeah did a lot in Cape Town as well just to make up for lost time being a student and not a tourist. So yeah there before I left I had done some stuff still at UCT, not very productive I might add, but okay, afterwards booked my bazbus ticket and hung out with the guys a bit, swam at Johans' place and went to a birthday party and had some braai's in between, took the people where I'm staying at to dinner (fih 'n chips) haha and went out with their daughter and her friends and yeah okay that kinda social stuff.. then for the tourist stuff.. Did Robben Island, Table mountain by cable car, went hiking up to Elephant's Eye (back of Table Mountain) which some people didn't enjoy as much cuz they had a hang over, haha.. I did enjoy cept for busting my ass haha.. (not because I was hung over, felt fine.. haha)..Then also did the museum thing and the waterfront and a tad bit of shopping Yayyyyy!! I visited the district 6 museum (about the kicking out coloureds and blacks out of their home towns to make everywhere a white neighbourhood) and went to the national museum and to the Castle of Good Hope where they still everyday shoot off cannons at midday and went to Cape point and the Cape of Good Hope and yeah so that was about it I guess.. and that was all in about 4 days or so.. Damn, no wonder I was tired. Now backpacking has started for me on Monday with my first stop being in Hermanus, why there, well because lil' ole me wanted to go caged shark diving with the great whites and yeah it was hella cool! It was way nice, it's not excatly diving but it's an experience. We had 2 whites that kept coming to visit and scare us off, yet I thought it was incredibly peaceful! Lovely! Walked about there a bit and all, they have a nice trail along the coast and yeah met some people but since high season has passed its quite quiet, which has its perks but not always..(can always find a sleeping place, but then not many people to meet..). On the bazbus I do meet nice people so that is cool, but so far not people going the same places as I am, so that sux, but who knows, I've already run into people twice, haha..and I'm only 4 days in. Yesterday I got in at Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich capital of Safri. Me and my crazy self did a 53km bike ride today in the sweltering heat, most being down hill starting at the swartberg pass and then visiting the Cango caves for an adventure tour and then off to the Wilderness Ranch. Twas nice.. I didn't know I could squeeze so tiny through those cave holes, damnnnn.. But hella nice. But okay, tomorrow off to Knysna where they have their own indigenous species (elephant, seahorse and lories) and is all rainforest lagoon like, the real beginning of the Garden Route for me.
